Year of Release: 1994

Well, didn't "A Girl Like You" do well? (the second time around) - it must have featured on most compilation albums that were released in 1995. Mr. Collins makes a bit of a departure from his Orangejuice days, but his solo offerings do not disappoint. There is quite a mixture of styles on this album, from the bossonova beat of "If You Could Love Me" to the pop beat of "Make Me Feel Again". I was drawn to the lyrics but Guns 'n' Roses may not share my enthusiasm (listen carefully to "The Campaign for Real Rock"). On a negative note, the 70's amplifier which creates the raw, primitive guitar sound is a bit of a strain on the ears at times and Mr. Collins' voice is dreary on occasions.
