Year of Release: 1997

Well George is certainly older, but is he any wiser? After a long silence (which has to be attributed to Sony) I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but I thought that the singles, in particular, "Jesus to a Child", might be representative of the contents of this album, but alas this was not the case. It is a shame that the voice is lost in the mediocrity of some of the musical compositions, take "It Doesn't Really Matter" for starters. "The Strangest Thing" however is something of much greater substance, with its eastern/Greek sound (I can't quite put my finger on which). On the whole the album is quite flat.
