Year of Release: 1997

The "catchyness" of the tune compensates for the poor lyrics (the song starts off with "sha-la-la-la-la-la-lah") and perhaps these boys know the strength lies in the tune because a lot of work has gone into the instrumental version. In fact, the instrumental version doesn't require much effort to listen to and I think can stand alone without the need to be supported by lyrics. This track is testament to the fact that the synth sound is not dead, having been brought to us most memorably by the likes of New Order. In fact, you could almost be forgiven for thinking that this was New Order (OK, so Mr. Hook was part of New Order).
