This track had instant appeal for me, but after a few listens I am unable to document precisely what it is about this rather morose offering that makes it so irresistible. It could be the diverse patterns through which the music travels, from submissive tranquillity to frenzied chaos, a bit like witnessing the temperament and moods of someone suffering from a serious personality disorder. And then there's the funeral march which somehow expresses some sort of release. At the corresponding point on the weird animated video which accompanies this song one character is perched at the top of a lamppost, his life hanging in the balance.
